Includes those that have:

  • Capacity to manage the most complex, high risk foot
  • 24 hour access to an operational Emergency Department
  • Minimum of one medical specialist on the inter disciplinary team
  • Please note that other services may exist that can manage the high risk foot of lower complexity

Individuals with complex foot conditions placing them at high risk of hospitalisation and amputation such as foot ulcerations, infections and suspected Charcot neuroarthropathy

Ballarat Health Services High Risk Foot Clinic
People with complex high risk foot issues and complications, including: foot ulcerations which are not progressing, history of amputation and current foot wound, suspected Charcot neuroarthropathy, complex foot pain.

Gateway Health High Risk Foot Service, Wangaratta

People with foot pathologies placing them at a high risk of amputation (eg. Foot ulceration, infection, Charcot’s Neuroarthropathy) related to conditions including, but not limited to: Diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological impairment or immune disease.
